& SUPPLY CHAIN Current opportunities: The Electronic Warfare Operational Support division is a high growth area in the provision of hardware support to export customers. To support this growth, a procurement lead is needed to own the strategic relationship with key suppliers in this niche market. The challenge is to create, develop and maintain an effective Supply Chain Strategy and solutions across a number of Business Areas ensuring the Strategic Supplier relationships' maximise SELEX Galileo's position within the Business Sector. Responsible for devising, implementing and delivering tailored Procurement strategies and providing senior level guidance and advice Business-Sector wide, the Strategic Sub Contract Manager will play a key role in advising Senior Management and will take responsibility for the strategic element of how the product is developed and how the supply chain supports that. Engineering Management is responsible for the overall technical solution and ensuring that the project is executed in accordance with an agreed budget and schedule. We would be interested in speaking with people who have a strong technical ability in the design and development of complex avionic solutions and who are able to think and operate at an overall integrated system level. The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined Integrated Project Team, whilst providing strong technical leadership and developing open and honest Customer relationships are pre-requisites to working in Engineering Management. Hardware With a product portfolio focussed on high specification defence electronics equipment our business relies on high calibre Hardware Engineers to support our products in both development and service. We have a range of opportunities for suitably skilled, degree qualified engineers, with an electronics background who have had experience in either the Defence, Automotive or Telecommunications industries. We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked through the product development lifecycle and have a proven track record in product design. Systems The Systems Engineering Team champions integrated product development - sharing, learning, understanding and working with other disciplines and functions. We apply innovative techniques and adopt best practice to provide quality, timely, desirable and affordable solutions which fulfil the whole lifecycle demands of the users of our products and services. Experienced systems engineers are being sought to deliver innovative engineering solutions to complex systems problems in security, training, operations, equipment and trials. Demonstrable experience of good systems engineering practice and tasks across the whole lifecycle required, including requirements management (DOORS), user/ system requirement definition, system architecture specification, system design specification, subsystem specification, test planning/design and system acceptance. Knowledge of Electronic Warfare Domain and Defence Products is highly desirable. Configuration Management We believe Configuration Management is a key business enabler throughout all phases of a products lifecycle. The Company also employs one of the largest Data Management Systems in Europe to support a common configuration management process enabling our configuration staff to work on multiple programmes. We are keen to talk with Configuration Engineers who have ideally worked within the defence industry and have sound knowledge of all aspects of Configuration Management and key industry standards (DEF STAN 05-57). Supportability Engineering ILS (SEI) SELEX S&AS customers demand through life capability and high performance avionics equipment that exhibits high reliability and low cost of ownership. Supportability Engineering ILS (SEI) are seeking experienced Supportability Engineers whose mission is to influence the engineering design of technical solutions, with the aim of providing reliable and supportable avionics equipment. We have a range of opportunities for suitably skilled and qualified engineers who have experience in all or some of the following SEI disciplines: reliability, maintainability, testability, component engineering/obsolescence, technical documentation, ILS, LSA, life-cycle-costing, training and material support. Quality Engineering Quality Assurance within SELEX S&AS is a key business process and has a particular emphasis and focus on Design Assurance, Supply Chain Assurance and Operational / In Service Assurance. Software Engineering The Software Engineering function has a comprehensive capability in the definition, design, development, integration and maintenance of complex, real-time, embedded, mission support and test equipment applications, developed using a world-class software development process that has been externally accredited at level 5 of The Software Engineering Institute Capability Maturity Model (CMM). Our technical expertise extends across a wide range of development platforms, integrated development environments and multi-processor targets. Our capability in state-of-the-art modelling and auto-code generation techniques is complemented by our extensive knowledge of legacy tools, languages and processors. Software Engineers are being sought who have extensive expertise in the following skills: whole lifecycle development, OO and UML based development, knowledge of the Rhapsody design tool, experience of auto-coding from UML based tools, knowledge of Wind River VxWorks RTOS and development environments (Tornado/Workbench), C++, Visual C++, C# & .NET. |
