Built upon the foundations of Ferranti Defence Systems, the business has progressed the pedigree as a leader in airborne radars, from the world's first monopulse radar used in service for the Royal Airforce, to today's hi-tech devices fitted to many airborne platforms. 
The site also boasts the Micro Electronics and Laser Centres of Excellence as it leads the way in developing the next generation of laser targeting technologies.
