Logistic Engineering is a key function,  carrying the correct Customer logistics requirement into design, identifying the better trade-off among life cycle costs and performance, providing the guidelines for product supportability and ensuring their fulfilment during the development phase.

Galileo Avionica  is actively pursuing new models of support services, where services offered to the customer shift from the traditional "on demand" support to Service Level Agreements on specific support characteristics (e.g. guaranteed turn around time), to a complete "turn-key" solutions where a growing responsibility sees Galileo Avionica managing the product availability or the product capability in accordance with Customers requirements.
These solutions are in line with the Through Life Capability Management approach that some Customer are adopting for the acquisition  and In Service Management of military capability.
