Radar

.
ASTRID - Airport surface movement radar
Astrid is the primary sensor of Advanced Movement Guidance and Control System airport architecture. Astrid has already been installed in some primary Italian airports. Astrid provides radar surveillance with automatic tracking performance of aircraft routing in the airport area (taxiways and runways).
.
INGRID - Surface movement radar for Apron areas
Ingrid can be included as the active sensor within any A-SMGCS architecture due to its standard protocol for monitoring traffic and support activities in the critical airport Apron and SMR uncovered areas:
overall airport coverage is guaranteed in cooperation with a Surface Movement Radar System.
PAR 2090 C - precision approach radar
PAR 2090 C  is an X-band, state-of-the-art ground controlled precision approach radar designed to provide efficient and accurate tracking of over 32 targets controlling up to 8 runways with a field of view of 10° in elevation and an azimuth coverage of +/-15°
With a modular and open architecture, and an extensive use of COTS components, PAR 2090 offers easy growth capabilities to expand performances and reduced maintenance costs.
PAR 2090 C is available in two variants:

  •      PAR 2090 CF fixed sheltered, transportable
  •      PAR 2090 CM mobile for rapid deployment

Remotely commanded, the high resolution display console delivers accurate detection and target discrimination performing in all weather conditions, with excellent clutter rejection.
PAR 2090 radar operates with an azimuth resolution and accuracy exceeding ICAO requirements. Featuring an automatic antenna deployment in the mobile variant and manual in the fixed variant, PAR 2090 incorporates the latest technology for high reliability and rapid deployment.

Key features:
    • Multiple landing control
    • Fast runway changes
    • Track-while-Scan
    • Fully coherent transmit/receive system
    • Excellent clutter rejection
    • Excellent accuracy and discrimination
    • Long range mode
    • Normal weather and heavy rain modes
    • Fully redundant RX/TX/PX/Data transmission
    • High availability and reliability
Easy maintenance and low support cost (unique BITE feature)

MINI INGRID - Gap filler surveillance radar
It is composed of two compact and lightweight units: Antenna and RTX Unit rotating at 60 rpm and Extractor Tracker Unit.
The radar sensor works at Ka band, featuring frequency agility and LPI transmission modes.
Video signal is processed by the dedicated Extractor Tracker Unit to carry on raw video mapping and automatic target position tracking;
An enhanced solution (INGRID) using large span antenna with high resolution and increased detection range is available
