AirSimulators | RES- Radar enviroment Simulator Galileo Avionica has developed an innovative
Radar Environmental Simulator system which generates a synthetic scenario on
the actual radar screen by injecting purposely processed RF signals into the
real radar sensors, thus replicating radar spurious traces ECM clouds,
approaching formations, etc.
Applications go from personnel training to tactics development, from synthetic
battlefield exercises to radar evaluation. |
 | Tornado Full Mission Simulator The Tornado Multi Role Combat aircraft is the most advanced tactical fighter
employed by Germany, Italy and UK. Largely used in very complex war theatres
dominated by Electronic Warfare environment and state of the art weapon
systems, their crews require constant training and simulation to reach the
highest level of efficiency. |
 | Eurofighter Full Mission System GA is responsible for a significant part of the Instructor
Facilities, Debriefing Facilities, the Lesson Planner and Scenario
Generator (LPSG), the Digital Radar Land Mass Systems (DRLMS) and Databases of
ASTA. - Instructor Facilities: GA tasks include the
development of the Instructor Operating Station Software, the aim of which is
to allow the Instructor to manage the different flight mission conditions, such
as system performance, weather, malfunctions. The response of the trainee can
then be evaluated on the basis of the stimulus created by the instructor in a
complex virtual scenarios including failures and
malfunctions. - Briefing/Debriefing Facilities: with these
facilities the Instructor can brief the trainee about the contents of the
training session. After the training session the pilot will be able to review
and play-back the tasks carried out during the mission in order to understand
the errors and evaluate the corrective actions. - LPSG: LPSG is a tool used by the instructor to
prepare the training session scenario. The scenario is created by detailed
reproduction of the geographical environment, with insertion of the different
"players" representing friendly or opposing forces. A single Lesson
Planner may prepare the missions for the Eurofighter Simulators deployed in
different location of each Nation. - DRLMS: the DRLMS implements the simulation
of the airborne Radar, one of the most important active imaging sensor of a
simulated aircraft. The DRLMS simulates the electromagnetic interference and
effects of the radar emission with the external environment during the whole
mission, providing a radar database and coherent radar images which may be
displayed in the cockpit instruments. The DRLMS simulates all the operational
modes and real functions and it provides to the radar displays a continuous
stream of images, emulating the format and quality of the real aircraft
equipment, thus delivering to the trainee pilot the required degree of mission
fidelity. - Visual, Flir,
Radar, EW and Navigation Databases: these Databases
are the sources of the information necessary for the reproduction of the
scenario in the onboard sensors of the virtual aircraft. The data contained and
presented in the simulator has the same standard and quality of the data
available in the real aircraft, with the purpose to reach the highest
simulation fidelity. |
