Mission Systems

.
ATOS - Family
Advanced and flexible airborne integrated mission management system. The system's modular and open architecture easily supports the insertion of additional equipment and product improvements. Various configurations are available to properly fit medium range aircraft, small aircraft and helicopters.

Typical missions include:

  • Offshore patrol with electronic and electro-optics sensors to detect, localize, classify and track a large class of vessels.
  • Search and Rescue (SAR) missions.
  • Antipollution Surveillance and fishery protection.
  • Anti Submarine Warfare (with dedicated specialized sensors).
  • Anti smuggling, anti infiltration.
.
OCEP- Operational Capibilities Enchancement Program
The OCEP SYSTEM has been developed by Galileo Avionica to introduce, as an upgrade, the "state of the art" operational capabilities on "aged" helicopter avionics systems
.
ATENA - Advanced Test Enviroment for Avionics
Atena is Galileo Avionica's latest solution for advanced Tests and operative support developed to satisfy the modern needs. It is a modular environment that may be set according to be different life cycles of an avionic program.

In details:

  • During the planning phase: it identifies and corrects problems and lacks of both the Operative Requirements and the project specifics of the Avionic System (i.e. excessive work load  conditions for the equip (CREW) prior the acquisition and the development of the HW and SW components which means reducing time and costs for the introduction and validation of the necessary corrective actions;
  • During the Integration and Validation phase: increase of the functional cover and the realism level of the tests available for integration RIG in order to transfer the validation activities, "traditionally" done during flights on the prototypes, in validation activities done with less costs on the Rig, with the extra advantage of more repetitive and determinism conditions for the tests which means that there is the possibility to reduce time and risk for the implementation of the validation of the necessary corrective actions;
  • During the Support and Operative service phase: availability of the integrated environment used during the development of the Avionic System and its extension and utilization to support the maintenance and updating activities (available also directly from the end-user);
  • Maximum communality and reutilization of the integrated environment HW and SW modules used during the Avionic system development, for the realization of environments aiming the planning/simulating the mission and the training (procedural and/ore  for piloting) also for the existing aircrafts.
  • Athena is an integrate envoironment based on the simulation realized using the COTS type hardware and software components at the maximum extention in order to obtain advantages from a continuosly developing market.
