SELEX Galileo is a key player in PhotoVoltaic Assembly (PVA) design and lay-down, with a proven capability to supply state-of-the-art fixed solar array. The Company started its activities with an Italian GaAs solar arrays technology development programme funded by the Italian Space Agency. SELEX Galileo has since delivered high flexibility and excellent cost/performance ratio PVA becoming the reference company in Europe for small satellites and a leader in large solar array.

Solar Panels  SELEX Galileo designs solar panels for micro and small satellites and deployable solar arrays for small satellites. The design, formulated with Sistemi Integrati, is based on single and multi-junction solar cells. SELEX Galileo is providing PVA based on triple-junctions cells for ESA's Hershell and Planck observatories, Italian COSMO and a commercial LEO mission.   The solar panels are used in LEO missions COSMO SKYMED and Pleiades.
