SELEX Galileo training will allow Greek Army to adapt EW systems to emerging threats
SELEX Galileo, a Finmeccanica Company, has signed an agreement to provide Electronic Warfare (EW) training for Greek Army technicians and flight crew operating out of the Hellenic Army Aviation base at Megara. Following the comprehensive 6 month training programme SELEX Galileo will field personnel to support Hellenic Army crews on-site at the base in Megara.

SELEX Galileo awarded EUR5M to upgrade UK artillery gun targeting systems
SELEX Galileo, a Finmeccanica company, has been awarded a ?5M (£4.3M) contract from the UK Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) Artillery Systems Team to upgrade the current Layers Display and Control Unit (LDCU) of the UK's L118 Light Gun. The upgrade involves replacing the existing LINAPS interface with a new 10 inch, touch-sensitive display.

SELEX Galileo signs contracts logistics support contracts worth more than EUR 23M
SELEX Galileo, a Finmeccanica company, has won contracts in excess of 23 million Euros to provide logistics support for a range of systems. These include support agreements for the Tornado aircraft, Falco Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) and a EUR 6M contract to provide engineering support for the upgrade of radar systems.

SELEX Galileo announces two new compact high-energy lasers at AUSA
SELEX Galileo, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce the launch of two new
lasers at this year's Association of the United States Army (AUSA) exhibition in Washington
D.C.
The Type 163 Ultra Lightweight Laser Designator (ULD) is the smallest lightweight NATO
STANAG 3733-compatible laser designator product available on the market. It generates
80mJ from a lightweight, compact unit and will be used by ground-based forward air
controllers to designate targets.

SELEX Galileo, a Finmeccanica company, recently completed the first tranche of US flight
trials of its VigilX Airborne Enhanced Situational Awareness System.
The system, which enables pilots to see in zero light conditions, was flown in a series of
sorties on a US DoD trials helicopter and demonstrated its potential to provide an innovative
capability to aid the operation of battlefield helicopters at night and in degraded visual
environments.

A European record for Finmeccanica: SMAT F1 project sees three unmanned aerial systems (UAS) operating at the same time in a civil environment.
The final demonstration of the SMAT F1 project (advanced land monitoring system,
phase 1) was conducted successfully on Friday 30 September with aircraft flying over
Levaldigi (CN), Benevagienna (CN) and Turin.

SELEX Galileo, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce the launch of ACME
(Automated Computerised Mobility Equipment), a kit that can be installed on any land vehicle
to transform it into a remotely operated vehicle. ACME is SELEX Galileo's answer to the
pressing requirement for route clearance solutions and convoy protection from asymmetric
threats, with the objective being to reduce the risk to military personnel in high IED threat
environments. ACME forms the core of a fully remote-operated situational awareness vehicle
which integrates the capabilities of the ACME system with advanced sensor and selfprotection
technology.

SELEX Galileo, a Finmeccanica Company, has announced the launch of DNVS-4, a new
passive, dual-channel, wide-angle indirect observation camera which will be offered with the
Company's Road Marshall integrated situational awareness system. DNVS-4 is the first of a
new range of digital cameras supporting the UK's Generic Vehicle Architecture Def Stan 23-
09. The new imaging system follows on from the successful DNVS-2 and DNVS-3 systems
which have been, or still are, in service with British Forces on a number of vehicles. DNVS-2
has also been chosen by Dutch armed forces and DNVS-3 has been selected by Saudi
Arabia.

At BRIDEX 2011 in Brunei Darussalam, SELEX Galileo, a Finmeccanica Company, will be demonstrating its latest battlefield technologies that serve to improve the situational awareness and protection of soldiers in vehicles and on the ground. SELEX Galileo has a track record of working with Brunei, having already sold infrared sensors for the Royal Brunei Air Force's Mistral missiles and, in conjunction with FNSS of Turkey, conducted trials of its situational awareness equipment on the ACV300 vehicle being evaluated by the Royal Brunei Army.
