March, 08 2010 SELEX Galileo, a Finmeccanica Company, has won the competition to supply its next generation ECLIPSE Pointer-Tracker and Type 160 Infrared Counter Measure (IRCM) laser as part of the Common Defensive Aid Suite (CDAS) Technology Demonstrator Programme (TDP). The TDP aims to define the architecture for advanced defensive aid systems and forms a critical component of the UK MoD's aircraft protection strategy. February, 25 2010 SELEX Galileo's sonic system OTS-90 was demonstrated successfully during recent flight trials performed in Australia. In a demo flight during the PAC2010 Exhibition, the helicopter NH90 (NHF) deployed the sonic sensor for a dip just in front of the Sidney Opera House. OTS-90 is capable of detecting and classifying targets at extremely long range, both in blue waters and brown waters. February, 17 2010 SELEX Galileo, a Finmeccanica Company, has been awarded a £10M contract by the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) for the supply of the Company's Digital Gun Management Systems (DGMS). The DGMS has demonstrated that it can dramatically improve the Canadian Artillery's capability during missions providing timely and accurate target engagement. FOCUS ON: OTS-90 on NH-90 SELEX Galileo's OTS-90 is an integrated system combining dipping sonar and sonobuoys. The system, recently demonstrated in flight trials in Australia, will equip the MFH ASW (Anti Submarine Warfare) fleets of the Italian and Dutch Navies. OTS-90 is capable of detecting and classifying targets at extremely long range, both in blue waters and brown waters. .pdf
